- Provide occupational therapy services to patients with various conditions, such as neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, and developmental delays
- Help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength through therapeutic exercises and activities
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence and daily functioning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to assess patients' needs and assist with development of appropriate treatment plans
- Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills to address patients' challenges and adapt treatment strategies accordingly
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records
