Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in the Denver, CO area, serving students within an established school district. This contract assignment runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, supporting three specialized roles across multiple elementary and K-8 schools.

This position requires an active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification in Special Education and involves working with diverse student populations in center-based and autism-specific programs. The roles include:

  • Affective Needs Teacher at an elementary school with a center-based program
  • Full-Time Learning Specialist at a K-8 school
  • Full-Time SLS (Supported Learning Services) teacher focusing on autism at an elementary school

Credentials and Experience:

  • Active CO DOE Special Education certification
  • Experience ranging from entry-level (0-2 years) to seasoned educators (10+ years)
  • Ability to manage caseloads within special education frameworks and collaborate effectively with school teams

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique goals
  • Collaborate with general education staff, families, and administration to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Participate actively in school team meetings and professional development activities

This full-time role offers 35+ hours per week, providing an engaging environment for educators passionate about making a difference in special education. The assignment supports hands-on experience in varied instructional settings, fostering professional growth.
