BruckEdwards is seeking a full-time on-site Senior Corporate Accountant, preferably with experience working in the government contracting industry.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education = Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 4 – 6+ years of accounting experience to include account reconciliations, month and year-end close, payroll processing
  • Solid working knowledge of Unanet Financials (Unanet ERP) and/or QuickBooks Desktop
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work on-site in Reston, VA Monday – Friday
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Role Description:


This position is located at BruckEdwards’ Corporate Offices in Reston, VA. The Senior Corporate Accountant must be an honest, dependable, collaborative team player who is comfortable working on-site. This individual must be detail-oriented and able to effectively organize and manage multiple accounting responsibilities. The Senior Corporate Accountant will provide daily support in the areas of accounting, finance, and cash management, and will provide executive management with financial reports to be used in budgeting and contract pricing activities.

Role Responsibilities:

Accounting activities to include:

  • Processing semi-monthly payroll in Paylocity
  • Maintain integration of timekeeping data in Unanet with the accounting system
  • Daily cash monitoring and management
  • Bank and credit card account entries and reconciliations
  • Preparing journal entries and accruals
  • Other month-end account reconciliations and procedures
  • Creating, recording, and submitting customer invoices in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Applying payments received and monitoring outstanding customer balances
  • Recording vendor invoices and processing/entering payments by ACH, credit card, check, and wire
  • Preparation of month-end financial reporting package
  • Preparation of annual budget and 1099s
  • Responding to customer, vendor, and employee inquiries
  • Coordinate annual tax returns and audits with external CPAs
  • Other ad hoc accounting-related responsibilities

Contract Support activities to include:

  • Preparation of monthly Contract Profit & Loss Statements and indirect rate reports
  • Assist with proposal pricing efforts.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GSA Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) reports

Monitor and report on prime and subcontract contract status

  • Support GSA schedule compliance and audits
  • Project charge code management in Unanet timekeeping system
  • Support purchase requests for equipment and software in support of customer contracts
  • Other ad hoc contract-related responsibilities

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Unanet (timekeeping), Unanet ERP, and Paylocity (payroll processing)
  • Familiarity with federal government IT contracts, accounting, and management
  • Experience with accounting system conversion
