Job Description Summary:

The Logistics Team Leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, distribution, and shipping execution. This role ensures that materials and finished goods flow efficiently and accurately to meet customer demand, cost, quality and service targets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day warehouse and shipping activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
  • Ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, accurate inventory and strong productivity
  • Work cross functionally with all departments
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and clean working environment following 5S & Ergonomic methodology
  • Responsible for assigned team’s adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Handle customs clearance and trade compliance activities (import/export) including international paperwork
  • Maintain documentation standards for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions
  • Ensure proper execution and data accuracy within ERP
  • Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transport carriers to ensure performance and compliance
  • Improve company and department performance through Operational Excellence/LEAN principles, methods, modules and element
  • As well as CAPEX for new or existing equipment to increase capacity and/or improve effectiveness
  • Actively participate and report out in Daily Management +QDIP and Gemba to drive cross-functional execution while tracking daily performance
  • Track and improve logistics KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Delivery Accuracy, Inventory Accuracy, and Warehouse Productivity

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain Mgt, Operations Management, Logistics) from four-year college or university; or 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MUST have 3PL warehouse experience
  • APICS/CPIM Preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide active day-to-day leadership for a highly energized, integrated, cross-functional warehouse team
