Job Summary
The Director of Sales is a key commercial leader responsible for driving all topline revenue streams for Wyndham Grand Rio Mar, with a strategic focus on growing Group business. This individual will lead the sales department in developing and executing sales strategies across Group, Leisure, and Corporate segments. The role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who can identify new markets, close business, and foster key relationships to position the resort as a top choice for meetings, events, and leisure travel.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Sales is accountable for achieving overall revenue targets while ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for clients from prospecting through execution.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5+ years of hotel sales experience, with strong background in group sales and total revenue accountability.
• Demonstrated success in developing new markets and closing high-value group and corporate business.
• Proficient in CRM systems, sales platforms (e.g., Delphi, CI/TY), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of sales strategy, revenue management, and market segmentation best practices.

• Long hours sometimes required.
• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
