Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in Mount Holly, NJ, serving a first-grade resource classroom in a supportive school environment. This contract position runs from August 29 to November 6 and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' academic and social development.
Located within a public school district in Mount Holly, the role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to first-grade students with unique learning needs. The district provides professional supervision and collaboration opportunities, including support from paraprofessionals and other educational staff, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for first-grade students within an in-class resource room setting
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and developmental levels
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and related service providers to support student success
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation on educational goals and accommodations
- Communicate effectively with parents and school personnel regarding student needs and progress
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New Jersey Special Education teaching license preferred
- Experience working with early elementary students in special education settings
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior management techniques
- Ability to work in a collaborative learning environment
- Commitment to student-centered teaching and inclusive practices
