Dogtopia of Golden Valley, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an opening for an energetic, organized, professional, animal-loving individual to join and lead our team as a Full-time or Part-time shift leader. This is a key role within our business and we work hard to deliver top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care. And you also get to bring your dog to work!

Applicant must be available for shift times from 6:30am to 2pm or 12pm to 7:30pm as well as some weekends.

Job Description

Administrative work

  • Checking customers in/out and collecting payment
  • Give tours of the facility
  • Answer phone calls and emails
  • Properly communicate information to customers
  • Multitasking is critical!

Operational work

  • Occasionally work and constantly monitor playrooms to maintain a safe level of play for dogs in an open play environment
  • Monitor canine coaches to ensure proper protocols are being followed consistently
  • Training and teaching our standards to new and existing employees for the animals
  • Cleaning the playrooms, spa, and facility

Desired skills and experience

  • 1+ years in a leadership role
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment!
  • Communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude through adversity
  • Computer skills - proficient in microsoft products and basic computer operations
