Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations on a Monday through Friday 12pm -9pm shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production staff, ensuring quality control, and optimizing production processes within a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of manufacturing practices, including the use of power tools and assembly line procedures.
Duties
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the flow of materials and information.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment.
- Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing is helpful, but not required
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using power tools, hand tools, and forklifts.
- Familiarity with assembly line operations and fabrication processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to effectively lead a team while fostering a positive work culture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organization.
