About ABRAMS:

Founded in 1949, ABRAMS is the first U.S. company to specialize in publishing art and illustrated books. We continue to publish critically acclaimed and bestselling works across a wide range of genres, including art, photography, cooking, design, entertainment, and children's books. We are passionate about creating beautifully designed books with the highest production values, under our various imprints, including Abrams, Abrams ComicArts, and more.

If you’re looking to gain hands-on experience at a leading publisher where creativity, collaboration, and storytelling come to life, ABRAMS may be the perfect place to start your career journey. As the first U.S. publisher dedicated to art and illustrated books—and an industry leader in visual and narrative publishing—ABRAMS is seeking a Integrated Marketing Intern to join our Integrated Marketing team as part of our Internship Program.

Over the course of this immersive, unpaid program (offered for academic credit only), interns will gain meaningful insight into the world of book publishing while contributing to real projects that drive our business forward. You’ll learn alongside experienced professionals, develop practical skills in your area of interest, and participate in opportunities designed to broaden your understanding of the publishing industry. Our goal is to help prepare the next generation of publishing talent while fostering a passion for books, art, and culture.

At ABRAMS, we value creativity, inclusion, and the power of storytelling—and we are excited to welcome students who are eager to learn and contribute to our mission.

Abrams is seeking an enthusiastic book lover with a passion for marketing to join the Integrated Marketing team as a Summer Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the marketing field, working with both Adult and Children’s publishing while learning how to build innovative sales-driving campaigns.

The Integrated Marketing team is responsible for setting the strategy for marketing campaigns across Abrams’ Adult and Children’s lists. The team has additional oversight of advertising, retail marketing, and promotions, focusing on ROI analysis. Integrated Marketing works closely with other marketing teams to ensure that campaign promotions are coordinated, focused, and ultimately, sales-driving.

As an Integrated Marketing Intern, you will contribute creatively and administratively to a wide variety of projects across these key areas. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the marketing process, from copywriting to campaign research, while also assisting in evaluating ROI on marketing campaigns with a specific focus on advertising.

What you’d be doing:

  • Learning and networking with ABRAMS employees, publishing professionals, and fellow interns during a summer internship experience for academic credit
  • Gaining hands-on exposure to the publishing industry, from concept to finished product
  • Supporting research, project work, and day-to-day tasks within your assigned department
  • Contributing ideas and providing creative input on department projects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and learning about various areas of the publishing business
  • Participating in workshops and discussions designed to deepen your understanding of publishing trends and processes
  • Receiving coaching, mentorship, and feedback from experienced ABRAMS professionals
  • Copywriting and assisting with creating marketing materials.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions and offering creative input.
  • Conducting audience and campaign research to inform strategies.
  • Executing mailings and supporting campaign logistics.
  • Updating and maintaining departmental organizational documents.
  • Assisting in evaluating the ROI of marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on advertising.
  • Learning to maximize consumer engagement to drive conversions.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • An undergraduate or graduate education with an anticipated graduation date in 2026 to 2027
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and hungry to learn
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in publishing, particularly in marketing, with a passion for books.
  • A balance of creativity and analytical skills, with an interest in connecting directly with consumers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS and MS Office Suite, with a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Prior internship experience

Internship Details:

  • Duration: Sept 8th – December 19th (Fall 2025)
  • 20 Hours per week
