Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Martinez, California. The SLP will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with communication disorders that impact educational performance. This role supports student success by addressing speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication needs in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and interpret evaluation results
- Develop measurable goals and contribute to IEP development in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and service logs
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide consultation and classroom-based strategies to support student communication
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, California Education Code, and district policies
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (CFY candidates encouraged to apply)
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
