Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing specialized speech-language therapy services in an educational setting, this full-time opportunity offers a 35-hour per week schedule for the 26-27 school year. The position is onsite in La Porte, IN, with travel required as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language development.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate to assess student needs.
- Prepare clear, detailed reports based on assessments and ongoing observations.
- Work comfortably with students aged 2 to 22 experiencing moderate to severe disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives tailored to each student.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and peers to discuss student progress and identify support requirements.
Qualifications:
- Possess, or be qualified to hold, an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teaching license from the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE).
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in educational settings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving aptitude in dynamic environments.
