School Physical Therapist (PT)

Location:St. Peters, MO

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (On-Site Only)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Physical Therapist to provide a full range of physical therapy services to students with disabilities within a school setting. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success and help them access their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized education programs (IEPs).

  • Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to students, addressing gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans that align with students' educational goals.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate physical therapy goals into the classroom and home environments.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and evaluations.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives.

  • Provide training and support to school staff on topics such as proper lifting techniques, adaptive equipment use, and positioning.

  • Stay current on best practices and advancements in pediatric physical therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.

  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.

  • Strong understanding of federal and state special education laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
