Deliver compassionate, expert care in a dynamic medical-surgical telemetry setting located in Pineville, LA. This contract nursing opportunity offers the chance to apply Med Surg Tele experience and Meditech skills in a well-equipped hospital environment. The unit specializes in cardiac catheterizations and utilizes modern technology including EKG machines, DynaMaps, bladder scanners, vein finders, and telemetry monitoring systems.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN licensure with Med Surg Tele nursing experience
- Proficient in Meditech electronic medical records system
- Strong time management and critical thinking abilities preferred
- Positive attitude and friendly, helpful demeanor essential
- Required certifications valid and up to date
Location & Unit Details:
This role is based on a medical-surgical telemetry floor with a 6:1 patient ratio and a dedicated team including charge nurses, RN/LPN mix nurses, technicians, and support staff. The environment is collaborative and technology-driven, promoting excellent patient outcomes. The unit operates with a ceil blue dress code and emphasizes professional standards and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care on Med Surg Tele floors with diverse cardiac and medical needs
- Perform heart catheterization support procedures and telemetry monitoring
- Utilize advanced equipment and EMR systems to accurately document and manage patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Maintain adherence to unit guidelines and participate in weekend and on-call rotationsapproximately two full weekends per month
