Prepare samples for analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples. This role involves applying approved microbiological techniques and methodologies used in analytical testing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.
- Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
- Maintain media and reagents as needed for daily microbiological testing.
- Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements.
- Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.
- Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, running media controls, etc.
- Independently pursue an assigned series of processes, procedures, or tasks in accordance with policies/procedures and customer requirements.
- Maintain laboratory condition, including equipment, supplies, quality assurance programs, and accurate records throughout all procedures.
- Perform all activities in a neat, safe, hygienic, and efficient manner.
- Share information openly and timely.
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques.
- Quality control experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in the Sciences is preferred.
- Candidates with laboratory or quality experience without a degree will be considered.
Work Environment
Work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday with shift start times between 4 - 6 p.m. The specific schedule will be provided upon confirmation. The work environment promotes learning and advancement opportunities, with a 90-day review period for potential pay increase based on performance metrics such as attendance and quality. Internal promotions are encouraged at both local and national levels.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bear Creek, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
