Job DescriptionRegistered Respiratory Therapist - Weekend Position Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers direct respiratory care to patients based on physician directives and serves as a consultative resource for healthcare personnel. This role necessitates appropriate licensure, certification, and ideally, experience in critical care, along with proficiency in respiratory therapy equipment. This full-time weekend role is situated at our facility and provides extensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Engages in direct patient care across all facets of respiratory therapy, following physician instructions. Collaborates with physicians regarding the effectiveness of treatments. Serves as an advanced resource for both physicians and nursing staff concerning respiratory care. Performs additional responsibilities as needed.

Hours/Schedule:

Full-Time (36 hours) - Weekends

STRAIGHT SHIFT WEEKEND ELIGIBLE!

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from a CoArc accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Complies with state licensure standards and possesses a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: Critical care experience is preferred.
• Certifications: Must hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For colleagues working in the Emergency Room, PALS certification is required. Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Other: Physical demands include the ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, as well as pinch up to 10 lbs. Minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required. Equipment utilized includes all relevant respiratory care devices.
