We are seeking an experienced Lead Press Operator to oversee production on an 8-unit web press in a high-speed printing environment. This role is responsible for product quality, press performance, and crew leadership, ensuring efficient and consistent production.

Schedule & Pay Highlights

  • Shift: Wednesday – Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours/week)
  • Overtime: Paid time and a half after 36 hours
  • Shift Differential: Additional pay for all night shift hours
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 after 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee operations on an 8-unit web press
  • Ensure product quality, productivity, and press performance
  • Supervise and support press crew members
  • Monitor press output and make adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues
  • Maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Communicate effectively with production and leadership teams
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of printing experience, including:
    • 3+ years on web press or similar equipment
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output environment
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime
  • Ability to stand for full shifts and maintain high productivity

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Frequent standing, walking, handling, and reaching
  • Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, and bending
  • Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required
  • Must wear required PPE (hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes)
