As a travel RN in the Stepdown Float Pool, you'll engage with a wide range of patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple specialties, including ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU. Exposure to varied leadership styles, best practices, and patient populations will foster your professional growth, broaden your perspective, and strengthen your nursing resume—all in a supportive atmosphere that values clinical excellence.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM)
- Flexibility required; block scheduling available for night shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Standby shifts as needed
- Scheduling is published in 6-week intervals
Key Qualifications:
- Valid RN license and compliance with radius/employer requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong proficiency in titrating critical care drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin)
- Competence in ECG interpretation
- Willingness to float across units and adapt to varied care settings
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care for post-op, cardiac, ortho, and geriatric patients
- Safely monitor, assess, and manage titratable infusions
- Collaborate efficiently in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Flexibly respond to unit assignments and staffing needs
- Accurately interpret cardiac monitoring strips
