Job DescriptionSalary: Salary: $100,000 $140,000 per year (based on experience and licensure)

Job Description

CSR Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join one of our Tennessee office locations: Pleasant View or Shelbyville (possibly Lebanon). In this Civil Engineer position, you will play a key role in designing, planning, and managing various Civil Engineering projects across the State of Tennessee and beyond.


Required Education/Experience
Professional Engineer (PE) with a Bachelors degree in Engineering
10-15 years of experience designing and developing plans and specifications for all aspects of civil/site design and land development projects
Strong expertise in erosion control, stormwater management, grading, and drainage design
Excellent communication and client-facing capabilities with a passion for mentoring and developing junior engineers and designers/technicians
Available to work as Project Engineer (30%) and lead other staff as Project Manager (70%)
Currently located in Tennessee and near at least one CSR office location


Preferences will be given to candidates with
Experience in civil/site design and land development (10-15 years)
PE licenses in other states
Experience with both private and public projects (industrial, commercial, residential, and municipal/state)
Additional background in Water/Wastewater public utility-based engineering design
Field experience in construction, and survey experience


Qualifications/Skills needed
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Suite, and other industry-standard tools
Familiarity with local/state/federal permits involved in civil projects


Responsibilities
Lead the design and layout of site plans, including grading, drainage, and utility systems, while adhering to regulatory requirements and project specifications.
Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning ordinances, environmental regulations, and building codes.
Design and oversee the installation of utility systems, such as water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management, to support site development and functionality.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and contractors, to coordinate project requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication, to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
