Join the growing nuclear cardiology team at MD Office Solutions (MDOS). We provide nuclear cardiology imaging services directly to physician offices, outpatient clinics, and hospitals across California, delivering convenient, high-quality cardiac diagnostics where patients need them most.
Our Nuclear Medicine Technologists work alongside MDOS Cardiac Stress Technicians (CSTs) and clinic staff in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Many of our technologists work 3–4 clinic days per week while maintaining strong weekly earnings.
Newly licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologists are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
Starting at $60 per hour, with higher rates based on experience, role, and employment status (PRN, Part-Time, or Full-Time).
Full-time technologists may earn approximately $130,000 annually depending on hours worked and overtime.
Full-time status is defined as working 30 or more hours per week.

A Typical Day at MDOS
Your day begins by meeting your MDOS Cardiac Stress Technician (CST) and preparing the imaging equipment for the day’s clinic schedule.
Together, you will support multiple outpatient cardiology clinic locations (typically 3–4 sites), performing nuclear cardiology imaging procedures and ensuring patients receive safe, accurate, and compassionate care.
Clinic schedules are generally heaviest Tuesday through Thursday, with lighter schedules earlier or later in the week. Most workdays occur Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage depending on operational needs.
Position Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs cardiac nuclear imaging procedures, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, and ensures high standards of patient care, radiation safety, and imaging quality.
Technologists may support mobile imaging operations serving multiple clinic locations or may be assigned to consistent clinic sites depending on operational needs and employment status.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform cardiac nuclear stress testing and imaging procedures
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
• Follow radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with Cardiac Stress Technicians and clinic staff
• Ensure a safe and professional patient care environment
Employment Options
PRN / Per Diem
• Typically 1–2 days per pay period
• May be assigned to consistent clinic locations
• Report directly to the clinic site
Part-Time
• Approximately 4 days per pay period
• Less than 30 hours per week
Full-Time
• Typically 3–4 clinic days per week
• 30+ hours per week
MDOS operates on a biweekly pay period.
For mobile assignments:
• Some days may include travel between clinic locations
• Drive time is compensated when operating MDOS company vehicles
• California overtime laws apply when applicable
Qualifications
• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification
• Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate company fleet vehicles
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to travel to clinic locations when required
Education & Experience
• Degree or certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• 1+ year of nuclear medicine imaging experience preferred, particularly cardiac imaging
• Experience performing quality assurance on nuclear medicine equipment preferred
Physical Requirements
• Ability to assist patients and remain on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to push or maneuver mobile medical equipment (up to 800 lbs)
Work Environment
Technologists provide services in physician offices, outpatient clinics, and hospital settings as part of MDOS’s mobile imaging program.
As with all healthcare roles, exposure to infectious diseases and radiation is possible. MDOS technologists follow strict radiation safety protocols, including use of personal radiation monitoring badges and protective equipment.
Emergency response procedures may apply in the event of a radioactive spill.
