Now Hiring Structural Welders | $20–$24/hr
We are seeking experienced Structural Welders to join a fast-paced fabrication shop supporting the oil and gas industry. This is a hands-on role working on custom-built structural components not repetitive production work. If you take pride in clean, high-quality welds and can work from blueprints with minimal supervision, this is a solid opportunity.
Position Overview
In this role, you’ll be welding heavy structural steel used in a variety of custom applications, including skids, platforms, pipe supports, and equipment bases. The work is varied, and production demands can shift, so reliability and flexibility are key.
Typical Work Includes
- Structural skids and platforms
- Pipe supports and equipment bases
- Custom structural assemblies for oil and gas operations
Weld Test Requirements
- 3G Plate Test (MIG, full pass)
- 4G Plate Test
Responsibilities
- Perform structural welding on heavy steel components using MIG and other processes as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Ensure welds meet required specifications for strength, penetration, and appearance
- Inspect completed welds and correct any deficiencies
- Use grinders and fabrication tools to prep and finish work
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work with production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Follow all shop safety procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a structural welder in a fabrication or job shop environment
- Ability to pass 3G and 4G weld tests
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Experience working with heavy structural steel
- Comfortable using grinders and basic fabrication equipment
- Reliable with the ability to work overtime as needed
