Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services within a K-12 educational setting in Morganton, NC. This contract role spans the current school year, focusing on supporting student academic, emotional, and behavioral development while collaborating with educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to support student learning and development
- Develop individualized interventions and behavior management plans
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create a supportive educational environment
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state regulations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in school settings
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including administering standardized tests
- Ability to develop effective intervention strategies tailored to diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and educational psychology principles
