Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services within a K-12 educational setting in Morganton, NC. This contract role spans the current school year, focusing on supporting student academic, emotional, and behavioral development while collaborating with educators and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to support student learning and development
  • Develop individualized interventions and behavior management plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create a supportive educational environment
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations in school settings
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including administering standardized tests
  • Ability to develop effective intervention strategies tailored to diverse student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of special education laws and educational psychology principles
