A Registered Nurse role in the Emergency Room setting is available on a contract basis, offering an opportunity to utilize clinical expertise in a fast-paced environment focused on acute patient care. This role is dedicated to optimizing patient health, preventing illness and injury, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients, functioning as the primary nurse or accountable nurse.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management with available resources.
• Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to applicable policies and standards.
• Manage resources efficiently, including staffing, time, supplies, and services.
• Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
• Participate actively in nursing shared governance, improvement initiatives, and peer review.
• Engage in professional development, education, and incorporate evidence-based practice.
• Provide mentorship and support for new staff and students.
• Perform charge nurse or shift coordinator duties when assigned.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with experience in Emergency Room nursing.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to educate and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety standards.
• Commitment to compliance with professional and regulatory nursing standards.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and team collaboration.
• Leadership skills for charge nurse or shift coordinator responsibilities.
