Galloway Boys Trucking is seeking a highly organized and disciplined Trucking Dispatcher to oversee our daily fleet operations and carrier relations. This role requires a professional who excels in high-volume environments and possesses the technical proficiency to manage complex construction logistics.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary communication hub between our field operations, internal drivers, and third-party carriers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Fleet & Carrier Dispatching: Strategically assign and dispatch daily routes for the company fleet and coordinate high-volume job requirements with outside carriers.
- Operational Oversight: Manage heavy workloads with precision, ensuring all project timelines and delivery windows are met.
- Real-Time Logistics: Proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, equipment delays, and routing adjustments in a fast-paced environment.
- Administrative Accuracy: Maintain meticulous records of load tickets, driver logs, and project documentation to ensure seamless billing and DOT compliance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the professional point of contact for project managers, drivers, and vendors to ensure clear operational alignment.
Professional Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in dispatching, specifically within the construction, heavy hauling, or aggregate sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) and experience navigating Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or GPS tracking platforms.
- Detail-Oriented: A proven track record of maintaining extreme accuracy while multitasking under pressure.
- High-Volume Capability: Ability to manage a high volume of calls, emails, and logistical changes without compromising service quality.
- Dependability: Strong commitment to punctuality, particularly for early morning operational starts common in the construction industry.
