HRW INC is seeking a Registered Nurse-RN to fill the position of Director of Nursing-DON, for our behavioral health residential care facility- RCF1. We believe in putting the right people in the right positions so that we can care for our residents based up the idea that we treat them as if they were our own relative. This philosophy extends from all levels, departments, and roles within all facilities as well. We are willing to train the right candidate for this role. The key requirements for this job are as follows:
Requirements:
- State of Missouri licensed RN- Required
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience. Previous position in a healthcare environment is preferred, but not required.
- One or more years of RN experience in/ LTC , preferred
- MDS knowledge preferred
- References indicating honesty, good attendance, dependability, performance, and leadership abilities
- Computer skills
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Facility Administrator as well as other department heads.
- Monitor daily work assignments for completion and accuracy
- Provide training and direction to staff in accordance with facility policy
- Administer medications
- Obtain weights and vital signs
- Face checks and other protective oversight measures to ensure resident safety
- Assist with personal care needs
- Regular Chart Audits
- Regulatory and Policy compliance
- Interact with residents and address their needs and desires
- Report changes in resident's health and behavior
- Coordinate resident's care needs with providers and outside resources
- On call, staffing and scheduling
