Shift: Days – 5x8 (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Histology Technician / Histotechnologist to support clinical and research laboratory operations. The technologist will perform complex histological procedures and ensure accurate, timely processing of surgical pathology and research specimens.

Strong technical proficiency in sectioning, staining, and special procedures is required.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State License/Registration
  OR Limited Permit to practice as:

  • Certified Histological Technician

  • Clinical Laboratory Technologist

• Minimum 2 years of histology or clinical laboratory experience

• Ability to distinguish colors accurately

• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced histology procedures

• Utilize sectioning and staining techniques in the histology laboratory

• Perform:

  • Special stains

  • Immunohistochemical (IHC) stains

  • Enzyme histochemistry

• Conduct advanced procedures including:

  • Eye pathology

  • Neuropathology

  • Enzyme preparation

  • Nerve biopsies

  • Renal biopsies

  • Muscle biopsies

• Ensure timely and accurate laboratory testing

• Perform computer data entry for surgical pathology and research specimens

• Maintain specimen records and billing documentation

• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols

• Maintain strict patient confidentiality
