Job DescriptionJob Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a retail company and are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Clerk to join the warehouse team. The Distribution Clerk will be responsible for efficiently picking, packing, and shipping orders for medications and supplies, ensuring they are accurately processed and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will adhere to strict quality control standards, follow inventory management protocols, and comply with all necessary regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Accurately pick and pull customer orders from inventory using picking lists and warehouse management systems.
- Packaging: Properly package medications and supplies in accordance with company guidelines, ensuring items are securely labeled, sealed, and accompanied by any required documentation.
- Shipping: Prepare orders for shipment by generating shipping labels, sorting packages, and ensuring timely dispatch for delivery.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and report issues promptly to maintain seamless operations.
- Quality Control: Verify the accuracy of medications and supplies before shipment, ensuring the correct product, quantity, and expiration dates, and maintaining product integrity.
- Data Entry: Enter order details into the system, including customer information, product quantities, and shipping information to ensure correct processing.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations regarding the storage, handling, and shipping of medications, while maintaining necessary documentation.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and ensure proper storage conditions for all inventory.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate warehouse management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to lift and carry packages up to required weight limits.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of basic pharmaceutical terminology is preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a plus.
