- Location: Wauwatosa, WI (53213) and Milwaukee area\n
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing job\n
- Healthcare Setting: Homecare Hospice (field-based)\n
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, every Saturday and Sunday (8am-8pm)\n
- Hours per Week: 24\n
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026, End: 4/4/2026)\n
- Orientation: Comprehensive onboarding including equipment pick-up, EPIC EMR training, and precepted shifts\n
- Scrub Color: Navy blue\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active RN license in Wisconsin\n
- BLS certification required\n
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience (Zilber Family Hospice accepts 1 year; other locations may require 2 years)\n
- Proficient in IV therapy, chest tube maintenance, catheter insertion, tube feedings, wound care, and wound vac\n
- Skilled in hospice and palliative care, pain and symptom management (pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical)\n
- Experience with opioid administration and equianalgesic tables\n
- Strong documentation skills using EMR systems (EPIC preferred)\n
- Independent critical thinker and problem solver\n
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field visits\n
\n\nRN Responsibilities – Homecare Hospice\n

- Deliver compassionate hospice nursing care to patients in homes and community settings\n
- Conduct daily end-of-life visits, PRN visits for symptom management, and routine nursing visits\n
- Provide skilled nursing care including IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, and symptom management\n
- Accurately document all care provided in the EMR system\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for holistic patient care\n
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and care expectations\n
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a field-based, independent nursing role\n
