Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector with a focus on commercial construction to support our FAA Customer on site daily at the William J. Hughes Technical Center at the Atlantic City International Airport.

Responsibilities:
- Applies inspection skills and experience in Commercial Construction.
- Reviews architectural/engineering plans and specifications to ensure they meet all applicable codes and provide comments relative to construction.
- Assists architects and engineers in evaluating design and construction objectives as well as construction submittals.
- Attends preconstruction meetings.
- Conducts independent construction inspections for compliance with contract, environmental, safety and facility requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Develops daily inspection reports; Take photos of existing conditions and construction progress.
- Coordinates schedules and work activities with customers, contractor personnel and all stakeholders.
- Assists in preparing scopes of work and cost estimates for Contract modifications.
- Supports all post-award construction completion work by participating in lessons learned reviews and completion of all contact closeout procedures, including development of RCRs (Record of Change Requests) and submission of warranty and O&M information to the Facility Operations Branch.
- Monitors construction sites to ensure overall compliance.
- Uses survey instruments, metering devices, and test equipment to perform inspections. Provides written documentation of findings.
- Recommends the Government issue violation notices and stop-work orders, when necessary, until building is compliant.
Qualifications:
- The candidate must possess construction experience in complex projects related to the following disciplines: electrical, mechanical, structural, civil and fire protection.
- Previous demonstratable work experience in commercial construction.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eight (8) years of relevant experience is required for the Senior level
Must be able to pass a security background check
Pay includes Health and Welfare rate.
