Job Summary
Dispense methadone safely and in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations to clients as instructed by the DON, Assistant DON, and/or Medical Director in an outpatient setting. Monitor clients to ensure that all of their medical needs are met while coordinating with all areas of the organization to ensure that clients are safe.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identifies and prioritizes client care needs using client history and nursing assessment
- Provides direct client care
- Performs daily client medication administration and reconciliation, ensuring proper documentation and workflow
- Documents pertinent information in client's chart and accurately reports and makes observations to appropriate staff
- Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods
- Will be required to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have an active and valid NJ LPN license
- Previous experience as an LPN, prior experience in a substance abuse facility a plus
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
