As a Press Brake Machine Set Up Operator, you will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC press brakes, specifically Cincinnati models, to produce precision metal parts. Your role will require ensuring that tooling, bend sequences, and quality standards meet job requirements. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a positive attitude, good attendance, and the willingness to grow into a lead role.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up CNC press brakes from blueprints and work instructions.
• Select tooling and create bend sequences to meet tolerance requirements.
• Perform part inspections and adjust programs or setups as needed.
• Maintain equipment, tooling, and a safe, clean work area.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
• Demonstrate leadership potential through reliability, communication, and initiative.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in reading blueprints and work instructions.
• Experienced with CNC press brakes, specifically Cincinnati models.
• Capable of performing machine setup and troubleshooting.
• Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Familiar with fabrication and mechanical assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with laser operation and setup is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Work Environment

The work environment is a medium-sized, climate-controlled shop that is not noisy. The role involves working the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with optional work on Fridays for a partial day. The atmosphere is fairly relaxed, although some tasks may require quick turnarounds. The supervisor is laid-back, and while the owner occasionally visits the floor, they expect employees to remain focused on their tasks.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
