Job DescriptionThe Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization for patients seeking routine care or critical health insights. This role is responsible for accurate blood specimen collection and preparation while following established procedures. The PSR I creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explains procedures clearly, and performs collections in a safe, skillful, and compassionate manner while maintaining strict confidentiality.Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction
- Collect forensic and clinical blood specimens following approved practices
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing with attention to accuracy and quality
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment
- Accurately complete all required records and documentation
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive company image
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Keyboarding and data entry proficiency
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Required in California
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required)
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments (preferred)
