About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and support of manufacturing processes and equipment. You will leverage your engineering expertise to design and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and high product quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on various engineering projects, develop new processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Fabrication, and Implementation of Manufacturing Equipment and Processes:
- Design and implement cost-effective, efficient equipment, tooling, and processes for new products.
- Assist in training operators on new machines and processes.
- Modification of Existing Equipment and Processes:
- Modify and improve existing equipment and processes to accommodate new products and specifications.
- Develop automated systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Implement action plans to reduce scrap and warranty issues.
- Project Management:
- Manage assigned projects to ensure they are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet all guidelines.
- Prepare capital expenditure requests for new and improved equipment, including cost breakdowns and payback calculations.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams for complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Input for New Product Development:
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to address manufacturing challenges early in the product design phase.
- Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with quality assurance and product design engineers to establish process specifications and ensure all processes and equipment meet product standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong engineering and mechanical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in design drawing software (e.g., CAD), word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with machine tool use (e.g., lathes, mills).
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation technologies.
- Proficiency in PLC, CNC, and custom NC programming.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Training and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Required Experience:
- Machine Design (Electrical and Pneumatic Systems): 1-3 years
- 2-D and 3-D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks or other engineering software): 1-3 years
- CNC Machining (Programming and Operation): 1 year
- Multi-project Management: 1-3 years
Preferred Experience:
- Prior Manufacturing Engineering Experience: 1-3 years
