EDM Operator | Delta Township, MI
Salary Range: $48,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining processes.
- Select appropriate electrodes, wire, and machining parameters based on material and part geometry.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM machinery.
- Maintain accurate production records and document process parameters.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience operating Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems for production tracking.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics.
