We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Walnut Creek, California. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in financial operations and leadership. You will oversee key accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily accounting operations across A/R, A/P, GL, and payroll; manage and mentor two accountants.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely, accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management with leadership.
- Maintain strong internal controls and coordinate audits and tax filings with external partners.
- Collaborate with outsourced accounting firms to ensure accuracy and seamless communication.
- Improve systems, workflows, and reporting through automation and scalable, efficient processes.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years accounting experience, including 2+ year supervisory experience.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and multi-entity accounting.
- Experience in consumer packaged goods a plus.
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
