Base Salary: $95,000 - $105,000

Position Summary

Thomas Construction builds commercial and institutional structures designed for durability and long-term performance.

The Construction Superintendent Vertical Construction is responsible for overseeing field operations for vertical construction projects while maintaining strong safety standards, project schedules, and quality execution.

This position coordinates subcontractors, manages sequencing of trades, and ensures projects are built according to plans, specifications, and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversee all phases of vertical construction projects
• Manage subcontractors, schedules, and site operations
• Enforce safety and quality standards
• Coordinate inspections, materials, and sequencing
• Maintain strong communication across teams
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial or vertical construction
• Strong understanding of building systems and sequencing
• Experience managing multiple trades
• Strong leadership and organizational skills

Reports To

Project Executive or Director of Construction (may vary by project).

Direct Reports

Field crews, subcontractors, and/or trade leads depending on project assignment.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily on active construction sites and may require work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud noise levels, and construction equipment typical of infrastructure and building projects.

Physical Demands

This position may require standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.

The role may require extended periods of time on construction sites and navigating uneven terrain.

Travel Requirements

Local and regional travel to project sites may be required depending on project assignment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $95,000 $105,000 annually
• Annual Bonus: Target 10% performance-based bonus
