Substitute Teacher – Kansas City, Missouri - Frontier Schools

Teachers Now is hiring dependable and motivated Substitute Teachers to serve Frontier Schools throughout Kansas City, Missouri. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support student learning, provide instructional continuity, and contribute to a positive and productive classroom environment when regular teachers are away.
Compensation
$110–$130 per day
(Pay is based on your education level/long term assignments)
What You’ll Do

Lead classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher

Create a respectful and well-organized learning environment

Manage classroom behavior and encourage student participation
-
Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
-
Assign and review classwork and homework aligned with learning goals

Record attendance and report concerns to school staff

Collaborate with school personnel to support academic and behavioral outcomes
-
For long-term roles, develop and deliver your own lesson plans in alignment with curriculum
Schedule

Availability: Monday through Friday
-
Full Day: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
-
Half Day: Between 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Depends on grade level - 4 hour shift)
Qualifications
-
Minimum 60 college credit hours or an Associate’s Degree (required)

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
-
1 year of experience in a classroom or childcare setting (preferred)

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
-
Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
