This is a 100% in-office position located in Salt Lake City. The role will also support our Boise location, and occasional travel to Boise will be required.
Responsibilities
The AR and Revenue Accountant is responsible for managing accounts receivable processes and revenue-related functions across multiple construction projects. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, customers (General Contractors), and internal teams to ensure accurate billing, compliance, and timely collections.
The position will have the following key responsibilities typical of the AR and revenue accountant:
- Monitor project progress in collaboration with Project Managers
- Prepare and submit accurate customer billings to General Contractors
- Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on payment status
- Set up and maintain projects within the accounting system
- Prepare and coordinate contracts and supporting documentation
- Handle or assist with contract compliance requirements (e.g., lien waivers, certificates of insurance)
- Assist with project close-outs
- Perform additional duties consistent with the role of an Accounts Receivable and Revenue Accountant
Qualifications
We are looking for a driven individual who can work in both individual and team settings. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.Accounting experience and experience within the Contracting and Construction industry, or related industries, a major benefit but not required. Past experience with construction-based accounting software systems will be advantageous, as will extensive experience with the A/R functions common to the General and Sub-Contractor industry. Must be able to multitask due to the many projects that need to be managed and the various tasks within each project.
