Your Role as an Assistant Principal

  • Lead Daily School Operations – Supervise staff and oversee daily school functions to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and state regulations, promoting a safe and structured learning environment.
  • Support Academic Planning – Collaborate on student assessment and class placement to support individualized learning needs and educational goals.
  • Staff Supervision & Development – Mentor, evaluate, and support instructional and support staff; facilitate professional development to enhance team performance and teaching effectiveness.
  • Crisis Response & Behavior Support – Respond to behavioral crises and implement strategies that promote student safety and positive behavior across the school setting.
  • Manage School Resources – Assist with budgeting and procurement of materials, ensuring resources align with school priorities and student needs.
  • Track Student Progress – Collect and analyze student data to support instructional planning, identify improvement areas, and measure school-wide outcomes.
  • Build Family & Community Partnerships – Develop positive relationships with families and external agencies to coordinate services and strengthen student support systems.
  • HR & Compliance Coordination – Collaborate with Human Resources on employee relations, recruitment, and engagement while monitoring attendance and maintaining accurate records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in special education, school leadership, or classroom supervision
