Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to become part of our well-established hospital medicine program as a Nocturnist in the Central Valley of California. In this role, you will deliver inpatient care across a collaborative network of three hospitals:

Doctors Medical Center, Modesto (Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center)
Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock
Doctors Hospital of Manteca, Manteca

These facilities provide a comprehensive hospitalist model with strong subspecialty support across the region.

Position Overview

Your main duties will involve providing cross-coverage for admitted patients and assisting with new admissions during nighttime hours.
You will work closely with hospitalist physicians and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) colleagues as part of the night team.
We are expanding our team to enhance advanced practice provider coverage at Doctors Hospital of Manteca and Emanuel Medical Center, offering opportunities to focus on admissions and receive cross-training for potential ICU responsibilities.

Qualifications

Active NP licensure in California is required.
Previous experience in inpatient or hospital medicine is preferred, although motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Position Details & Benefits

Employment Type: W-2
Schedule: 7-8 shifts per block with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.
Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Night Coverage: 1-2 physicians and 1 NP/PA per shift.
