Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact by providing essential occupational therapy support to elementary-aged students in a dynamic school environment near Cambridge, MA. This contract opportunity runs from September 3, 2026, through June 23, 2027, and offers the chance to work full-time (32.5 hours weekly) with children in grades K-5.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
- Experience working in school-based settings, ideally with elementary-aged students
- Demonstrated understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, creative, and flexible approach supporting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEPs
- Provide direct and consultative OT services within classroom and small-group settings
- Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and reports as required by state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators and families to support generalization of OT goals
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Use evidence-based interventions to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills for classroom participation
