Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker for our night shift, from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. You will be trained on the first shift to ensure you are fully prepared for your responsibilities. In this role, you will work independently within an English-speaking warehouse environment, focusing on efficient and accurate execution of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Offloading trucks during day shifts and operating forklifts, both sit down and stand up, with proficiency.
  • Receiving picklists from production operators, using mathematical skills to deliver the correct amount of product.
  • Adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) methods, ensuring older lots are prioritized.
  • Utilizing RF scanners for inventory management and re-palletizing as needed.
  • Working independently, especially during the third shift where tasks are less but include put-away, labeling products, wrapping pallets, and cutting jars using a safety blade.
  • Delivering raw materials to production lines, wrapping finished products, and placing them in correct storage temperatures.
  • Maintaining raw materials and finished products, ensuring cleanliness and proper storage conditions.
  • Executing the Master Sanitation Schedule for a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assisting in all warehouse areas, including shipping, receiving, and materials projects.
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring accurate location placement.
  • Assisting with printing labels and paperwork for production lines.
  • Reviewing sustainment sheets for accuracy and adherence.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety rules and reporting unresolved issues.
  • Participating in additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation, both sit down and stand up.
  • Proficiency in using RF scanners.
  • Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of FIFO inventory methods.
  • Administrative tasks, including inventory control and packing.
  • Experience with pallet jacks, shipping, receiving, unloading, and loading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to perform mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Capability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents related to safety, operations, maintenance, and shipping.
  • Routine report writing skills.
  • Physical ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr.
