PURPOSE
The Mechanical Engineer - Industrial will specialize in industrial project design and documentation for design build construction project types as well as maintain and grow the “Client for Life” concept for existing and new clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Design and layout clear, complete, and accurate industrial construction documents
• Apply sound knowledge of engineering principals and industrial application
• Interact daily with design build team and clients toward project success
• Support and participate planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for major construction projects
• Assist and execute to achieve Baker Group quality and financial expectations
• Represent Baker Group Core Values
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or higher education
• Industrial project experience required
• Five (5) years of engineering experience (field engineering preferred)
• Design/Build project experience preferred
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• AutoCAD and/ or Revit experience a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Professional Engineer license
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Excellent team-working, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Strong innovative/creative approach for new ideas
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work to meet project deadlines
• Ability to travel approximately 20% of time
