Job DescriptionDescriptionThis position is ideal for experienced warehouse professional to join the Supply Chain Operations team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, managing the critical flow of materials throughout our facility. Partnering with procurement, production, and quality control departments, you'll provide accurate inventory management and efficient material handling to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and production needs. This role is vital in maintaining the operational integrity of our supply chain and supporting overall business continuity.
Role expectations
- Supports the shipping department with packaging, picking, cycle count, data inspection and area upkeep.
- Receive incoming materials and prepare package materials from manufacturing, administration, fulfillment or other areas.
- Visually verify completeness of all processed or raw materials incoming & outgoing.
- Assist in counter-checking incomplete manufacturing or non-production shipments(IQC).
- Assist in rejection or placing “on hold” items or incomplete ship out items.
- Implement the first in and first out concept in overnight shipments on specified schedules.
- Assure that shipments are dispatched in a timely manner.
- Assist in the process improvements and program implementation of the department.
- Assist in the upkeep of Align forklift, dolly, carts and other equipment in shipping & receiving.
- Act as the main processing person for incoming materials, equipment and manufacturing supplies, visual inspection, record maintenance, delivery and area upkeep.
- Work as an all around person in assisting and performing the receipt of all materials, opening of boxes and verifying commercial invoices, packing list and quantity count.
- Perform physical movement and transport of materials within the company, or storage facilities.
- This position is onsite Monday-Friday.

- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Report all unsafe activities to Manager and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in shipping & receiving operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing inventory, processing orders, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Experience with materials handling, storage, and warehouse equipment operation (forklift certification preferred)
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform warehouse tasks
- Strong attention to detail with experience verifying shipments against purchase orders/invoices
- Computer literacy with experience using inventory tracking systems
- Working knowledge of shipping procedures, carrier requirements, and inventory control techniques
- Experience with kitting/assembly preparation for production
- Effective communication skills for addressing internal and external customer requests
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and solve problems independently and as part of a team
- Basic math proficiency for calculating weights and shipping charges
Pay TransparencyIf provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position. Actual placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically. For Field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable incentive compensation plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
