Overview:The Manufacturing Technician II is responsible for supporting daily production operations, ensuring customer demands and schedules are met while upholding safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role involves assembling and testing medical devices using specialized equipment and following established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test medical devices following work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Leads and Specialists to meet daily production goals and schedules.
- Identify and report quality, equipment, process, or material issues to the Manufacturing Lead or Production Supervisor.
- Adhere to documented standard work and participate in continuous improvement activities (DBS concepts).
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces aligned with 5S principles.
- Complete and maintain required documentation per company Quality System and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in training and onboarding of new team members as needed.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and support inspection-readiness.
Qualifications:Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic manufacturing or assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of GMP and ISO standards.
- Experience working under a microscope.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Work in environments containing adhesives, solvents, or chemical processes.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, or twisting.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to observe small parts for extended periods; visual acuity (close vision, color vision) required.
- Must comply with cleanroom and hygiene protocols.
