In this role, you’ll collaborate with engaged leaders and a diverse care team, observing a variety of practice styles and leadership approaches. Your resume will grow as you manage care for geriatric and adult patients on a busy 34-bed med/surg unit, utilizing advanced equipment and frequently seeing new clinical cases. Opportunities abound to hone competencies like patient assessment, medication administration, and interdisciplinary teamwork, while adding Cerner EHR experience to your credentials.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Occasional weekend shifts required
  • On-call, only as needed for unit coverage

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and flexible attitude
  • Proficiency with current inpatient equipment (Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, tele monitoring)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered nursing care for adults and seniors
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, update electronic health records (Cerner)
  • Work closely with physicians and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Floating to inpatient holds as needed
