Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Med/Surg Unit
Shift: Night Shift | 12.5 hours/day, 3 days/week (34.5–37.5 hours/week)
Shift Timing: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM

Compensation:

• Travel Rate: $2,406.50/week (negotiable based on experience)

• Local Rate: $2,001.00/week (negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The RN will manage pre- and post-surgical patients, applying strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals

• Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-operative patients

• Administer and document medications accurately

• Perform wound care, infection control, and dressing changes

• Insert catheters and initiate IV therapy

• Monitor and interpret vital signs and telemetry data

• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment

• Identify and report changes in patient condition

• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-surgical care

• Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Follow established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in acute care or post-acute settings

• Recent experience within the past year required

• Strong skills in physical assessment, IV therapy, and post-operative care

• Experience with wound care, infection control, and patient education

• Telemetry monitoring experience preferred

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program

• Active RN License (state-specific)

• AHA BLS certification required

• AHA ACLS certification preferred

• EPIC EMR experience preferred
