Wipfli is partnering with our client, who is a well-established, family-owned food and beverage ingredients company with the recruitment and selection of a strategic and collaborative Chief Financial Officer. With a multi-generational legacy, the company is recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer success. The CFO will play a pivotal role in guiding financial strategy and supporting the company through key transformation initiatives. This position is based on-site at the company’s headquarters in the greater Green Bay, WI area.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports that summarize and forecast the business activity and financial position of the company highlighting variances and identifying trends; effectively developing, executing and communicating information from complex financial models to management, shareholders and the Board of Directors.
- Review monthly general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger postings; closing of general ledger.
- Review and oversee all accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL) transactions for company.
- Manage cash flow; monitor payments, transfers and daily banking activity.
- Analyze cash flow and forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds.
- Prepare capital expenditure and investment justifications, ensuring proper financial analysis and complete due diligence for company decisions.
- Develop budgets, create financial projections, and format financial analyses to present data in a decision-ready format that supports company growth.
- Direct annual budgeting process and prepare projections.
- Manage and ensure compliance with local, state and federal government tax reporting requirements and tax filing.
- Engage and communicate with auditors and maintain banking relations.
- Provide ongoing review and improvement of processes and procedures; implement scalable and measurable processes.
- Ensure company accounting procedures conform to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial management responsibility and experience, including accounting and financial analysis.
- Previous experience in a CFO position preferred; at least 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role required; experience leading managing multi-plant operations is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field required; MBA, MSF, or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
- Knowledge of food and beverage industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with international business operations and related financial requirements preferred.
- Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and company growth strategies and activity preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state tax laws and other international tax laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial systems and infrastructure, including costing and inventory management.
- Understanding of IT process infrastructure and experience in IT/IS management, including ERP and MRP systems, preferred.
