Customer Service Representative – Healthcare / Insurance Verification
Wilkes Barre, PA US
We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll assist homecare patients and healthcare providers by verifying insurance coverage, processing orders, and coordinating medical equipment and supply services.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle inbound calls from patients and referral sources.

Provide information on services and process patient orders accurately.

Verify insurance coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans).

Coordinate delivery, setup, and pickup of equipment and supplies.

Maintain patient files and documentation in compliance with policies.

Resolve patient concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:

1+ year in a high-volume customer service or call center environment.

Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach.

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Accurate data entry and intermediate math skills.

Healthcare or insurance industry experience preferred.

Knowledge of drug cards, major medical benefits, and assistance programs is a plus.
