Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school district in Michigan is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide leave coverage from late November 2025 through early March 2026. This contract position offers an opportunity to support a diverse school-based caseload across multiple buildings, helping students achieve their educational and developmental goals.
Location: Ada, MI
Duration: November 24, 2025 March 2, 2026
Schedule: 32.5 hours per week
Position Type: Leave coverage, contract
Caseload: Approximately 56 students (43 direct therapy, 13 consultative)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students within the school district, addressing individual needs to support academic success and functional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to design and implement therapy plans and classroom accommodations.
- Manage caseload across multiple school buildings, adapting services as needed in an onsite or virtual environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all legal, educational, and ethical standards for school-based therapy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Michigan is required.
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and communicate effectively with educators, families, and administrators.
- Flexibility to work onsite or remotely, based on candidate preference and district needs.
