Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CAD data to define measurement strategies.
  • Execute CMM programs to perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components.
  • Analyze and report measurement data, identifying non-formance and supporting root cause analysis.
  • Validate CMM programs and measurement results for accuracy and repeatability.
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of CMM equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize inspection processes and resolve quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with CMM setup, operation, and fixture design.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot CMM programs and optimize inspection processes.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA)
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools
  • Experience programming and operating other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners)
  • Fixture design and fabrication experience for CMM setups
